Shown here are the results for gene COMT from a genomewide linkage mega-analysis of bipolar disorder carried out with 972 informative pedigrees of European ancestry pooled from eight research groups in North America and the United Kingdom and genotyped on the Illumina Linkage Panel 12 consisting of 6090 SNPs.
 
Details of the methods for the linkage analysis are provided in methods section.
